UofL rips off the students
The Courier-Journal has another one of those rare moments on their editorial page, they actually made some sense. Commenting on the recent decision by the UofL Board of Trustees to raise tuition in order to help bail out athletics, they few it as it should be: dirty tricks.
In the decision to end a decades long practice of keeping the athletics at UofL seperate from the academic corporations, they have come to the point of forcing students to subsidize athletics. The students recently had a petition stating that they would not support the University financially if this type of thing came to pass. I know I'm never giving them another dime once I finish my degree.
