Fun Times
It's been a great couple of days. Even though our picnic got rained out yesterday, it's been a near perfect few days with Teresa. Teresa is a beautiful young woman.

A great day
I woke up today at 6AM in anticipation of Teresa's arrival. I met her in DC a few months ago and today is the day she's flying in to visit me from Arizona for a week. Not that I post incredibly often on this page, but it will be non-existent for at least a week.

Does the birth control pill equal abortion?
Most would say not and I would be one of them. However, in Northern KY this week there is a batlle over whether this is the case and will determine whether the N.Ky Ind. District Health Board rejects $170,000 in federal Title X money. From the Enquirer: "In a full-page ad that ran in area daily newspapers three weeks ago, Northern Kentucky Right To Life, an anti-abortion group with considerable clout, criticized the use of public tax dollars for contraceptives that it says cause abortions — including the IUD, Norplant and standard birth control pills. "
For more on this, go here to the Enquirer or FOX News.

Washington, DC
As some of you might know, I spent the first part of spring break in Washington, DC. It's a lot of black and white shots. To take a look at them, view them in the gallery.

Dissent - They're still morons on this one
The Guardian has an article concerning US artists damning 'war without limit'. Personally, I don't see how this is a war without limit. However, we know this thing has to be completely sane and legit. Afterall, Noam Chomsky signed it.

Photos
I've started posting a gallery online again. It's called The Short Pinacotheca and will have whatever I feel like putting in there. As of now it only has some pictures from my sisters graduation last month.

Travel again to the Parent's
I'm beginning to think I just need to move down to Morgantown. I'm taking another trip to visit the parent's and this time my sister as well. A trip to Nashville is planned, since it's closer to them then Louisville.

Go USA!!!
It's nice to see US Soccer take such a turn from their performance in the last World Cup and beat Portugal with a 3-2 score. Hopefully they can have a repeat of this against South Korea.

Freedom of Speech doesn't exist in public schools
How can you defend not allowing students to pass out fliers for a religious event while letting them pass out fliers for anything else? If you try to argue that this would be establishing a religion, you need to relearn the english language. Evidently, schools in Davenport, IA have found a way, but they're not explaining it to us. This action has resulted in students suing the school. I wish the kids best of luck in getting rid of this idiocy.
*UPDATE:* Just based on some of the comments, I in no way believe in freedom of speech per se in public schools. The way the law is, and should be, school acts to a certain degree in the same manner as a parent. Therefore, it is well within the rights of the school to censor certain speech and behavior. On a side note, some of the people posting obviously need to spend more time learning the language (as in spending time on homework) than complaining about their schools crackdowns on probably what amounts to their desire to curse.

A Relaxing Night
It's been a remarkably relaxing night tonight, though a bit boring. I actually got yard work done today for a change. I actually enjoyed doing phyical work, it was refreshing and energizing. Fortunately to keep it from getting to boring I've had plenty of people to talk to.
