They Tried to Kill the Duke
The Sun has a report out today that Stalin ordered the KGB to kill John Wayne. They quote British historian Michael Mann: “Stalin saw him as a gigantic propaganda symbol against the Soviets.
“He was much more subtle than the atomic bomb but Stalin saw him as no less deadly.”
This just further shows how much of an all-American guy the Duke represented.
